Customers rave about the Italian beef, known for its perfect blend of robust flavors, and the option to load it with sweet and hot peppers. The generous portions delight many diners, ensuring a fulfilling experience. Gyros are another highlight, often praised for their juicy meats and satisfying sauces. Friendly and attentive staff efficiently handle orders, even during peak hours, making each visit a quick yet enjoyable experience. Most importantly, the consistency in quality, since many customers return decades later to find their favorite dishes taste just as they remember.
Most Disliked
While many enjoy the cozy atmosphere, some find peak hours a bit overwhelming, often resulting in longer wait times during the busy lunch and dinner rushes on Fridays. On occasion, certain menu items may run out, leading to disappointing experiences for those craving specific dishes. The casual dining setup, while family-friendly, may not appeal to those looking for a more refined dining experience. Limited dessert options leave some diners wanting more sweet finishes to their meals. Overall, while Pete's Red Hots has more fans than critics, minor inconveniences can occasionally impact the dining experience.

Great beef! Meat well seasoned, good ratio hot and sweet peppers, and with the Turano factory across the street you know they have good bread. Plenty of seating inside and out.

Spent the first 12 years of my life growing up on a block adjacent to Pete’s in the early 2000s. Had a cheeseburger today for the 1000th time and it tastes exactly the same as it did 20 years ago. Great beef and hot dogs as well, I’d probably eat anything on the menu

Everything I have ever gotten from here has been great! Never disappointed! The whole staff is always very tentative and work hard to get the orders out correctly and as quickly as possible. There’s always a ton of traffic coming in and out of here but it never takes too long to get fed. Whenever you get a chance, definitely stop in and give them a try. You won’t be disappointed!

Yup! Absolutely dee-lish!!! I had the Italian beef special. “Let me get a beef special, sweet and juicy!” Wow! I couldn’t quite peg what the special spice in the gravy was, but it was good. This is hands down one of the best needs I’ve ever had. Price was fair for what I got… the sandwich, fries, and a pop. Portions were pretty good. Place has an old school 80s feel. It was clean. Everyone was friendly. I’ll for sure be back

Had my first Italian beef sandwich here today, and WOW 🤩 with hot peppers, American cheese and fries. It was hard not to go the “safe” route and just get a dog, but I’m glad I was feeling adventurous! Thin sliced, juicy, and tender with tons of flavor, and fast!

Best Italian beef in the city. I come here because I was told they don’t dip the sausage in the Italian beef juice which is great because I want to enjoy an Italian beef without worrying about consuming pig juice. Quick friendly service, definitely worth trying if you are in the area.

Not bad I got the Italian beef & sausage combo came with fries & a drink & also decided to try a red hot- the beef was good & juicy fries were also pretty good - but I was unfortunately disappointed with the red hot I felt like it could’ve been better as the bun was some how soggy & hard & the toppings were poorly put on without attention or care - but don’t let that discourage you from trying this place because like I said the beef was great maybe they just had a off day with the dog - I’ll be back again soon
